Sometimes problems appear when you enable some logic and disappear when you disable the same logic. When you’re retesting a fix you should remember to re-enable the routines that were active when the problem first occurred, demonstrate the problem and without the fix, apply the fix then show that the problem is resolved.

Note: Quite a few problem determination guides for WordPress plugins ask you to reproduce the bug with a default installation and theme. Sometimes this can be quite tricky, but it’s well worth the effort.
